One fine day, I decided I wanted to go for a walk in the park. So I called my friend and asked her if she wanted to come with me. "Sure," she said. So we both headed towards the park. When we reached, we heard many girls giggling together. Then I saw who was making all the noise- Rina and her friends. They were very mean girls who were also very popular at school. They had a particular dislike for me and my friend. As soon as Rina saw us, her happy expression turned into an expression of pure hatred. All her friends started to whisper in each other's ears. My friend (whose name was Aditi) said, "Let's go from here. With Rina and her clique in the park we won't have any fun." Though I thought the same, I said, "No, let's stay here. Don't worry, she won't be able to spoil our fun." So we both ran towards the swings. "Oh, what luck! Today both the swings are free. We can swing together!" exclaimed Aditi. It was one of the rare occasions when both the swings in the park were free. Usually they were occupied and we had to take turns to swing. We both sat on the swings and had just started swinging when Rina came towards us. She said, " Hey , get off that swing. I want it. " "No, we got the swings first. You will have to wait for your turn," I said. " Don't mess with me. My father owns the company your parents work in. I can get them fired," said Rina, with a triumphant tone in her voice. " Well, your father doesn't own these swings. So we won't get off until we feel like it," said Aditi." I see. I shall see to it that your parents lose their jobs," said Rina and then went back to her friends. "What will I do, Aditi? Now my parents will lose their jobs!" I said. "Don't worry, we'll think of something," said Aditi, calmly. Just then we heard someone saying"Oh no!". It was Rina. We ran towards her. She was covered in mud! None of her friends dared to come near her. They were saying that she was stinking and they would get dirty too if they went near her. "Though Aditi and I did not like her, we were felt sorry for her.Rina, did you slip in that puddle?" I asked. "If you want some spare clothes you can get some at my house," Aditi said. " Thank you. Today I realised that you are my true friends. I am sorry about being so mean to you both," said Rina, looking at me and Aditi. " I guess that means we are friends now," said Aditi.Aditi and I took Rina to my house and helped her clean her dress. We also gave her spare clothes to wear. "Now that we are not enemies, let's celebrate by having a sleepover!" I said- and that's exactly what we did!
